Lower Body

Key: Level 1: White | Level 2: Blue | Level 3: Red | Note: In order to obtain higher levels, please ensure all previous level requirements are met where applicable

Lower body armour requires all parts for trooper kits. For Mandalorian kits, a minimum of 3 armour pieces is required from the waist down. This can be any combination of the below sections. Asymmetrical pieces are acceptable and pieces do not have to be worn in pairs.

Thighs/Hips

- Thigh plates should cover the front to outside of your thigh. Trooper armour should wrap all the way around the upper legs.

- Thigh plates should not restrict movement

- Hip and tasset plates must be worn as a pair (A pair of Hip plates counts as one of your three lower body armour pieces)

Codpiece

- The top edge of the codpiece must be covered by an acceptable waist item (e.g. belt/cummerbund).

- Codpieces must sit between thigh plates (if used) and not clash with them (this is not applicable to troopers as clashing is likely, however they should be properly shaped to coexist with the surrounding armour pieces)

- Codpieces should not extend lower than the upper third of the thighs as to be proportionate to the wearer. Similarly, codpieces should not be too small as to not cover the area intended.

- If a kama/battle skirt is used, the codpiece must sit underneath it and not overlap on top.

Knees

- Knee plates should sit correctly to cover the knee

- Knee plates should not restrict movement.

- Boba style knees must sit flush to the undersuit and not float or hang from it

Foot Armour

- Boot Spikes cannot be sharp or metal. Rubber is recommended but 3D printed/sintra materials are also acceptable.

- For troopers, foot armour must colour match the armour and style as per source material.

- Toe caps must cover the boot and sit comfortably on it, without floating from it

- Ankle Plates must not clash with shin plates or overlap them.

Shins

- Shin plate should not restrict movement

- Shins should not go any higher than base of knee

- Shins must be mounted onto gaiters, leg wraps, tall boots or to flight suit directly but must not hang or float.

- Shins should sit flush to the wearer with no obvious gaps between the shin and the undergarments.

Shnees (combination of shins and knees) negate the need for separate knee and shin armour. These only count as one piece of armour.

Alternatives to Armour

- High boots and/or Leg wraps can negate the need for shin armour but may have armour mounted on top. For more information on approval, please refer to the soft parts section.

- A Kama can be worn to negate the need for hip/thigh plates, but a codpiece is recommended to sit underneath. More information on Kamas can be found under the soft parts section.
