Costume approval is an optional, but recommended process in which our team of costume experts pits your costume against our tiered system of parameters and assigns a level of approval to your costume based on which standards it meets. It's an awesome way to see how well your costume is put together, as well as get professional, direct advice as to what the next steps are!

On top of this, each level of approval comes with its own benefits and perks. Below is an outline of what each tier means, and the benefits they come with. Before submitting for approval, we recommend you read through the in-depth to see what you need to do before submission.

Before you submit a costume, please start a WIP (Work In Progress) Thread on the Discord server. Blacksmiths (Group Experts) will be able to advise you how to obtain the tier you're after and let you know when they believe you're ready for review. To submit a costume for approval, we need images of the front, back, both sides and close ups of any accessories, such as weapons, tools and helmets. These must be sent to kemiraclanapprovals@gmail.com as a Google Drive Folder link set to "anyone with link can view' to allow us to share with the review team - the team will review your costume within 2 weeks and provide feedback! You can also email into the team for any queries you may have or use our dedicated discord build advice channels to raise questions too where our Blacksmiths will guide you towards approval.

Our tiered system means that regardless of skill, everyone can achieve a level of approval with the club. We hope this allows more accessibility for fans who want to become a more involved part of the community, and allow everyone to feel a sense of achievement!
The Tiers of Approval!
LEVEL ONE: INITIATE
Summary: A basic, complete
costume that is recognisable
as the character being portrayed.
Our INITIATE level will likely apply to anyone with a basic complete cosplay. There are very relaxed rules in Level One, which can be read up on in our

BENEFITS: Access to Initiate Level Merch, Access to all Kemir'a Charity/Public events
LEVEL TWO: ADEPT
Summary: A well made, complete costume that has been finished to a good standard and well shaped to the wearer.
Our ADEPT level is our second, more advance level of approval. Whilst still not strict on all parts, an expectation for effort to be put into areas such as sanding, shaping and craftmanship will be put into place. More details, again, can be found in our

BENEFITS: Access to Adept Level Merch, Access to all Kemir'a Charity/Public events, Access to exhibit with Kemir'a at Conventions and "open invite" LFL events (e.g Lego Stores).
LEVEL THREE: CHAMPION
Summary: An expertly crafted costume that is of theatrical quality. Perfect shaping, weathering and attention to detail.
Our CHAMPION level is the highest approval achievement in the clan. This level is reserved for kits that meet all expectations for approval outlined in our An expectation for near perfect craftmanship is to be expected, including, but not limited to: zero print lines, perfect shaping and consistent weathering.
